Jiten is a practising architect, academician and GRIHA CP. He has designed the PDEC towers and other solar passive techniques for the first public building in India (the Police headquarters at Gulbarga) to get a LEED Gold rating from USGBC. He is the architect of a Zero Energy School campus (Education Park) in Madhya Pradesh which has been featured in TERI Journal. He is also a co-author of “Handbook on Energy Conscious Buildings” at IIT-Bombay. He has developed a software tool (CAT – Ver. 3.0), for pre-design climate analysis and guidelines for various cities of India. Previously, he was part of the M. Arch Thesis Review Committee at IIT- Roorkee. He has conducted a course on energy efficiency and thesis guide for postgraduate students of IMIAD at CEPT University, Ahmadabad. He has taught EVS for undergraduate students at Academy of Architecture, Mumbai. He has recently been a divisional grand jury member for Solar Decathlon India
